## Ingredients

- 6 cups apple cider
- 1/3 cup of real maple syrup
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 whole cloves
- 1 orange peel cut into strips (optional)
- 1 lemon peel cut into strips (optional)

## Directions

1. Pour cider and syrup into a saucepan
2. Wrap cinnamon sticks, cloves, and peels in a cheesecloth and tie it all up with a string
3. Place saucepan over heat until cider is hot but not boiling
4. Remove cider from heat, discard spices, and serve hot
