+A sweet and savory stew with shrimp and a bit of spice. This is adapted from my grandmother's recipe and is different from the usual recipes found on the web.
+
+- ⏲️ Prep time: 2 hrs
+- 🍳 Cook time: 1-1.5 hrs
+- 🍽️ Servings: 8
+
+## Ingredients
+
+- 2 cups Green Bell Pepper, diced
+- 1x 5-inch Yellow or White Onion, diced
+- 2 cups of Celery, diced (try to get one with lots of green leaves)
+- 1/4 cup of olive or cooking oil
+- 1 cup Heinz chili sauce (it looks like ketchup but is not)
+- [optional] 3 tbsp Frank's RedHot sauce
+- 1 cup of seedless Golden Raisins
+- 1 cup of Slivered Almonds
+- 3x 14.5oz cans of diced tomato - optionally blend one
+- 1 teaspoon each: pepper, thyme, salt
+- 2 tsp curry powder
+- 1/2 cup parsley
+- 2 lb cleaned and shelled shrimp
+- cooked white rice
+
+## Directions
+
+1. Sauté raw vegetables in oil
+2. add remaining ingredients **except shrimp** 
+3. simmer 1 hour
+4. Add shrimp and cook for 5 minutes
+5. Serve over cooked rice
+6. [optional] Best if cooked a day ahead and reheated.
