Ingredients

• 6 cups apple cider
• 1/3 cup of real maple syrup
• 2 cinnamon sticks
• 4 whole cloves
• 1 orange peel cut into strips (optional)
• 1 lemon peel cut into strips (optional)

Directions

1. Pour cider and syrup into a saucepan
2. Wrap cinnamon sticks, cloves, and peels in a cheesecloth and tie it all up with a string
3. Place saucepan over heat until cider is hot but not boiling
4. Remove cider from heat, discard spices, and serve hot
