Pasta with tuna
There are tons of variations, this is my grandmother's version. The tuna sauce is a lot more than necessary usually I use the reaming part in the next days or I put it in the freezer.
- ⏲️ Prep time: 10 min
- 🍳 Cook time: 15 min
- 🍽️ Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 400g short-cut pasta
- 160g tuna can in olive oil
- 500ml tomato passata
- 1 or 2 garlic clove
- half onion
- white one (the cheapest one available)
- olive oil
Directions
- Cook the pasta
- While pasta is cooking cut the onion in half disks of 0.5cm~
- Cut the garlic clove in half and remove the center
- In a small pot add some oil (less than a spoon), the onion and the garlic
- Cook until is slightly cooked
- Add the tuna and a glass of wine
- Put the flame at this maximum until you can't smell alcohol anymore
- In the same time break the tuna a part in small piece as possible
- Add tomato passata and simmer until the pasta is cooked
